Join FlyersRights In Court this Monday!
Join us in federal court virtually or in person this Monday, September 12, at 9:30 am. We will be arguing our seat size case in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Members of the public are permitted to observe the court proceedings in person as we argue for the establishment of minimum seat size standards as required by the 2018 FAA Reauthorization Act.
The FAA has refused to initiate a rulemaking on minimum seat dimensions in the nearly four years since the law was enacted. FlyersRights filed this lawsuit in the federal appeals court at the beginning of 2022 to force the FAA to follow Congress’ clear command: enact minimum seat size standards.
We would love to see our supporters attend in person or virtually. The Court recently changed its rules and will now allow members of the public to attend oral arguments in person. Please note that you may be required to place any electronic devices that you bring in a locker by the security checkpoint. The E. Barrett Prettyman Courthouse is located at 333 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001. We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes early to allow for time to get through security.
